2010 CROP CONSULTING SUMMER INTERNSHIP
TeamAg Inc. is an agricultural consulting firm located in Ephrata Pennsylvania. We are currently offering a summer internship position to assist with our crop consulting division. Duties will include crop scouting and providing reports to the senior consultant for making timely crop management decisions. Other duties may include collecting soil samples, PSNTs, and Corn Stalk Nitrate Tests. The majority of the work will occur in the Lancaster County area. NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
This position will:
Assist farmers with the development and implementation of nutrient management and CAFO plans. These plans are normally required by the state for animal operations.
Develop nutrient management plans -- collect required information, develop plan, submission.
Assist growers with the implementation of nutrient management plans -- collect required information, assist growers with annual report, amend plans as needed.
Assist farmers with the development and implementation of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
Assist with the development of Conservation Plans. Assist farmers with Federal and State EPA/DEP permitting.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Valid drivers license
Nutrient Management Certification
