Crop Consultant / Agronomist

Summary: This position is with a Lancaster County Agricultural Engineering and Consulting firm working in the Mid‐Atlantic region. Our staff of engineers, nutrient management planners, and agronomists provide knowledgeable engineering and consulting services with integrity and professionalism.

 

Position Description:

TeamAg has an immediate opening for a Crop Consultant / Agronomist in the Lancaster County region. The qualified individual will be responsible for conducting annual meetings with clients, development of crop management plans, in-season crop scouting, and the collection of soil and tissue tests. A thorough understanding of local crop production practices (with regards to corn, soybeans, small grains, and forages), integrated pest management, fertilizer inputs, and pesticide products is required. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. This position will require some travel and the ability to perform field work in adverse conditions.

 

Position Location: Lancaster County, PA

 

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

Candidates should have a degree in Agricultural Sciences or a related field. Additionally, previous work experience in the agricultural sector is preferred. If hired, the applicant will be required to obtain a Certified Crop Advisor certification within two years of employment.

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have a willingness to operate a 4-wheeler.
