Jedd Moncavage
Vice President/Nutrient Management Manager
Jedd Moncavage is a 1999 graduate of Penn State University with a BS in Soil Science. He has been with the TeamAg since 2002. Prior to working at TeamAg, Jedd was employed by Brubaker Consulting Group and the USDA/NRCS. He is a certified Act 38 nutrient and odor management specialist, conservation planner and TSP in multiple states and a nationally certified soil scientist. Jedd works with a team of planners whose main duties include the development of nutrient management plans, soil conservation plans, CAFO permits, CNMPs an all other Ag related planning and permitting.
Megan Chawner
Organic Agronomist
Megan advises farmers on implementing and maintaining organic farming systems. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lafayette College, and a Master of Science in Soil Science and Agroecology from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to coming to TeamAg, Megan worked directly with farmers to help them troubleshoot production problems and to deliver educational programming about sustainable agricultural practices like cover cropping, reduced tillage, and soil health. Her services include developing organic crop management plans, conducting sampling and scouting and making organic recommendations to enhance production.
Derek Metcalfe
Conservation Program Specialist
Derek graduated from Penn State in 2022 with a BS in Environmental Resource Management and minors in Environmental Soil Science and Watersheds and Water Resources. Before coming to TeamAg, he worked with Resource Environmental Solutions on E&S and invasive plant monitoring for stream restoration projects, and with Eurofins Environment Testing, extracting PFAS compounds from aqueous samples. He is currently working towards earning his Act 38 Nutrient Management Certification. In his free time, he enjoys growing PA native plants, hiking, and playing guitar.
Eric Sauder
Innovation Catalyst
Eric joined TeamAg in 2017. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University. Eric is passionate about the opportunities for farmers to be a part of the solution for climate change.
Eric works to create opportunities for farmers exploring regenerative agriculture.
